Door of Everything

This is a book well worth reading....and I have, many times. Like all good books it seems to change with the level of our understanding.

There is a God (I can prove it)

BT1. The case for the existence of a Creator

The search for an “absolute proof”
One day, in the middle of a spiritual crisis, I said to the Creator “If you really exist, show me an indisputable proof, something that cannot be denied”. In my mind I heard 2 words, “you are”. I thought it strange to hear such a short answer and wondered if I wanted an answer so badly that I was making it up. But the words remained in my mind, repeating themselves occasionally as I pondered their meaning.

The illusionary nature of the senses
Anyone who has watched a good magician knows that what we see and hear and touch and feel is not always what is real. The mind can be tricked into false interpretations of reality based on sensory input. The eyes can be tricked into seeing things, the ears can hear things, the skin can tingle for any number of reasons and the mind can convince itself of just about anything.

What we know of the world, of reality, is told to us through our senses. They gather information and send it to the brain where the signals are interpreted and assembled into a “reality”. Thus even reality itself can be an illusion. How then could anything be an “absolute proof” ?

The Creator as the self
That night I went outside and looked up at the stars, I thought about the different “proofs” that had been offered in texts and teachings and how they all failed the test of absoluteness. All of them were merely hearsay, merely opinions offered by others, not the “absolute proof“ I needed. I looked up at the vastness of the universe, was I asking too much? Was I asking something impossible?

All of a sudden I heard it again, “You are”. All of a sudden it hit me, that was my indisputable truth, my proof once and for all that a Creator exists. My “absolute proof” that there was absolutely a Creator.

Absolute because even if all that we perceive as reality is an illusion and the mind itself is corrupted, the mind still is. There is still a consciousness, there is still a sentient being doing the thinking, the interpretation or “creation” if you will of reality. Thus the Creator is proven to exist, even if it is only our own mind.

The Creator as an external entity
However, logic dictates that if the self is in fact the Creator of reality then we as it’s creators would have absolute authority over it. Situations could be changed at a whim and items that we perceive to be material could be created with a mere thought.

Since the reality we perceive is not the reality we would wish for and immediate change is not possible for us, it must be assumed that it is not under our direct control. This indicates that the external reality we perceive has been created by and is under the control of an external creator. Since this external reality seems common to all beings in it’s form and physical laws, we can assume that it to is under the direct control of a mind much as our inner reality, a God.

Summary:
Information gathered by the senses allows the brain to construct a reality.
The information gathered by the senses is unreliable under certain conditions.
There is an absolute proof that a Creator exists
The creator has absolute authority over it’s creations
We have the power to create an inner reality (imagination)
We do not have absolute authority over the external reality
The external reality was created by another being and is under his direct authority.
We call the being responsible for the external reality many names, most commonly God.

Will the real God please stand?

Does the Bible sometimes seem contradictory to you? It certainly did to me. How could a god that knows no evil create evil? Who, or what, was this ‘god’ afraid of that would lead his children astray when he said “I am a jealous God”? If there were no other, of whom would he be jealous? “God” seemed insecure of his hold on things, at best.

Well, I think my answer has been found. In the Secret Book of John, a gnostic gospel, Jesus tells things a lot differently than the traditional ‘bible’ does. The link to a web site with the text is included at the end of this article. I don’t pretend to know it all and hope you want to know more.

To me, Jesus is saying that the composer of the bible is NOT the Creator of all. First, is/was the Creator, the Father, an invisible Spirit that is total perfection. From the Creators thought came Barbelo, the feminine aspect of everything. Together they begat a spark of light, the Christ, the only begotten of the Mother-Father, the pure Light. (btw:Jesus Christ is NOT a name. His name was Jesus but Christ is a title meaning ‘the anointed one“.)

From Christ, 4 lights (angels) appeared; Armozel, Oriel, Daveithai and Eleleth. From Eleleth came 3 beings: perfection, peace and wisdom (Sophia). It seems these (lesser?) spirits could create their own spirits from thought.

The three perfect entities, the Father, Mother and the Christ, created Pigera-Adamas, the perfect man. He stood with the angel Armozel.

Sophia desired to create something without the consent of the Divine. She gave birth to a monstrous entity and being ashamed of her deed, she wrapped him in a cloud and created a throne for him within it. And she called him Yaltabaoth. He is also known as Saklas and Samael.
The entity, isolated, did not know his mother, nor anyone else, and thus concluded that only he himself existed, being ignorant of the superior levels of reality. Because of his power, ignorance and arrogance he said, "It is I who am God; there is none apart from me."

Yaltabaoth created more entities from his thoughts. One is Athoth, also called the reaper. Harmas, is the eye of envy. There is also Kalila-Oumbri, Yabel and Adonaiou, Cain, Abel., Abrisenem, Yobel, Armoupieel, Melceir-Adonein and Belias, it is he who is over the depth of Hades. When he saw all the angels that he had created, he exalted himself above them.

In a nutshell, Yaltabaoth and his angels created the Adam of the bible in the likeness of Pigera-Adamas and create the earth to put him on.

This will take a lot more research and study, to be sure. Does this mean that the churches are worshiping a false god? Ok….maybe not false but definitely not THE God that created the Christ. What a thing to ponder…..
